Minister for Social and Family Affairs Seamus Brennan has come out in support of the Taoiseach as he faces mounting political pressure over the payments he received 13 years ago.

The Mahon Tribunal is currently investigating payments to Bertie Ahern from a number of wealthy businessmen while he was Minister for Finance in 1993.
