Ireland ranked 13th in global wealth poll

One in every 50 Irish households is accorded millionaire status, according to a new global wealth report by the Boston Consulting Group.

The study found, that in dollar terms, almost 2% of households in Ireland were millionaires.

Ireland is ranked 13th in the world, coming in ahead of Britain and Japan in the top 15.

The United Arab Emirates topped the list, with 6%of its households making it into the "dollar millionaire" category.
