Elderly woman tied up during robbery at Carlow farmhouse

Gardaí in Carlow are investigating an overnight robbery in which an elderly woman was tied up by a gang of five masked men.

The men entered the 65-year-old woman's farmhouse in Brown's Hill shortly after 8pm before tying up both her and her 42-year-old son.
