Norwegian queen attends Ibsen seminar

The King and Queen of Norway continue their three-day state visit to Ireland today with Queen Sonja attending the opening of a seminar on Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen at Trinity College, Dublin.

The King and Queen of Norway continue their three-day state visit to Ireland today with Queen Sonja attending the opening of a seminar on Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen at Trinity College, Dublin.

She is also due to visit the National Library of Ireland to open an exhibition in honour of Ibsen.

King Harald will attend a conference at the Global Irish Institute at UCD.

The couple travel to Cork tomorrow, where they will visit a seminar on Ireland’s seafaring legacy at the National Maritime College of Ireland.

Queen Sonja will also open an exhibition of Norwegian jewellery at Cork Public Museum before she and her husband conclude their visit.
