The Labour Party has said its main priority if elected to government next year will be reform of the health service.

Speaking at the party's pre-Dáil policy meeting in Cork today, Labour leader Pat Rabbitte said his party would build extra hospitals and provide more community-care beds if its forms part of the next government.
