Electronics firm Braun to lay off 157 workers in Carlow

The electronics manufacturer Braun is to lay off more than 150 workers at its plant in Carlow.

Workers at the factory were informed this morning that 97 full-time jobs and 60 part-time posts will be shed in an effort to cut costs.
