Robert Holohan inquest to open in Midleton today
The inquest into the death of Co Cork schoolboy Robert Holohan is due to open in his home town of Midleton this morning.
The State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy is expected to give evidence to the hearing about the post mortem.
Dr Cassidy has already indicated that the 11-year-old died of injuries consistent with asphyxia and that marks found on his neck were consistent with strangulation.
The dead boy's 22-year-old neighbour, Wayne O'Donoghue from Ballyedmond in Midleton, is serving a four-year prison sentence for his manslaughter and will not attend today's hearing.
