Ahern hopes Blair will be present for North talks

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has said he hopes British Prime Minister Tony Blair will remain available to deal with the peace process in the North in the months ahead.

Mr Blair is expected to announce today that he will be stepping down from the post in around 12 months' time.
