A 39-year-old man has been killed in a road accident in Co Clare.

A 39-year-old man has been killed in a road accident in Co Clare.

It's understood his car went off the road and hit a sign in Lissycasey village near Ennis shortly after 11am this morning.

The driver was alone in the car at the time.
