Ronnie Drew’s handprints to go on display outside Gaiety

Dubliners frontman Ronnie Drew is to be honoured by the Gaiety Theatre today for his contribution to the world of folk music.

Dubliners frontman Ronnie Drew is to be honoured by the Gaiety Theatre today for his contribution to the world of folk music.

A bronze cast of the singer's handprints will be unveiled on the plaza outside the venue in Dublin city centre.

Drew joins other stage luminaries such as Maureen Potter, John B Keane and Luciano Pavarotti who also have their handprints displayed outside the theatre.
