Two held after man shot dead
Two men were being questioned by gardaí today after another man died following a shooting in Dublin's south inner city.
The shooting happened shortly after 1am outside St James' Hospital.
Gardaí found one man, aged 22, lying in a dark coloured Honda car with gunshot wounds.
He was taken into St James’ Hospital but died a short time later.
Another man in his early 20s was also hurt in the attack but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Detectives at Kevin St garda station are questioning two men under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
The scene of the shooting has been preserved for technical examination and a post mortem will be carried out later today.
