Fathers group threatens to blockade M50
The Unmarried Fathers of Ireland group is threatening to cause travel chaos tomorrow with a blockade of the M50 motorway around Dublin in protest at the jailing of a man who allegedly didn't pay his child maintenance.
The group claims the man is innocent and should not have been sent to prison.
It is calling on the Minister for Justice Michael McDowell to intervene in the case and release the man from Mountjoy, which has seen a wave of violence recently.
The group is planning a further series of protests this week.
