Cabinet meets in Wicklow after poor poll showing
Government ministers are due to hold their last meeting before their summer break at Avondale House near Rathdrum in Co Wicklow today.
The meeting is taking part outside Dublin as part of the Cabinet's annual trip to the constituency of a senior minister.
The findings of yesterday's opinion poll in the Sunday Business Post are likely to be among the items up for discussion.
Support for Fianna Fáil was up one percentage point in the poll, but the Progressive Democrats have seen their support fall to just 2%.
The survey also found that a potential coalition between Fine Gael and the Labour Party is more popular among voters than the existing Fianna Fáil-PD alliance.
