NRA denies indefinite delay in Port Tunnel completion
The National Roads Authority (NRA) has denied media reports that continuing leaks in the Dublin Port Tunnel have led to its opening date being delayed indefinitely.
Reports this morning claimed a team of workers was still struggling to fix leaks in the €800m facility, which is already two years behind schedule.
However, the NRA insisted today that tunnel should be open by October.
A spokesman said the leaks had all been mended and that routine safety checks were currently being carried out.
