Government jet to evacuate Irish from Lebanon

Efforts are underway to evacuate all Irish citizens from the Lebanon, due to escalating violence in the region.

The Government jet will to arrive in Syria this evening to bring Irish officials and additional medical staff to assist consulate workers already on the ground.
