Intel to reveal details of job losses next week
Intel is expected to reveal more details of planned lay-offs when it publishes its quarterly earnings report next week.
The world's biggest chipmaker is announcing 1,000 job losses, as it seeks to streamline its business amid tough competition in the IT sector.
The plan affects managers, or about 1% of the total global workforce.
A small amount of Irish jobs are expected to be cut as part of the plan.
