Three more dead as road carnage continues

Two men and a woman were killed in a serious car crash near Portlaoise earlier this afternoon.

The three were killed when a car collided with a lorry on the N8 at Clanad at around 2.45pm.

Another man is in a serious condition at Portlaoise General Hospital.

Gardaí closed the road in the aftermath of the collision and have launched an investigation.
