Thousands of passengers at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports were today struggling to get to their destinations after Aer Lingus workers walked out in dispute over Government plans to privatise the airline.

Thousands of passengers at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports were today struggling to get to their destinations after Aer Lingus workers walked out in dispute over Government plans to privatise the airline.

Seven flights, including transatlantic services an others to and from London, were directly affected by the walkout which lasted more than an hour and ended at 11am.
