Half of all critical illness claims relate to cancer, say BoI

Almost 50% of critical illness claims with Bank of Ireland last year were related to cancer, according to statistics published by the company today.

The bank says 60% of all female claims and 30% of male claims were for the disease, while just under one-quarter of all claims were for heart-related illnesses.
