SIPTU warns of corporate interference in academic research

SIPTU is seeking safeguards to ensure that academics are free to publish their research without any interference from corporations.

The call comes ahead of a meeting of the UCD governing authority today to discuss the issue of intellectual property in light of its recent decision to commercialise research carried out by the university's staff.
