A former financial director of Monarch Properties has admitted paying political lobbyist Frank Dunlop £85,000 between 1993 and 1995.

The payments were made at a time when the company was trying to secure increased housing density on lands at Cherrywood in south Dublin.

Dominic Glennane told the Mahon Tribunal today that he didn't know exactly why the money was paid to Mr Dunlop.
