Police investigate robbery in Down KFC

Police in Carrickfergus, Co Down have appealed to the public for information following a robbery in the town early this morning.

Two armed and masked men gained entry to KFC on the Belfast road at around 9.30am.

They held a gun to the female manager's head and forced her to open the safe and escaped with a substantial quantity of cash.

The first man is described as being 5"6 in height, of medium build and was wearing a cream bomber jacket, jeans and a balaclava.

The second man is six foot in height and of slim build. He was also wearing dark jeans and a balaclava.
