Gardaí follow definite line of inquiry after Athy fire

Gardaí in Co Kildare are following a definite line of inquiry following a serious fire in Athy yesterday evening.

The blaze broke out just before 6pm yesterday in a builder’s storage yard at new housing development on the Kildare Road.

Thirteen occupied houses were evacuated and suffered smoke and heat damage

An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched and the Gardaí say they are speaking to a number of suspects.
