Haughey’s remains lying in repose at Donnycarney church
The remains of former Taoiseach Charles Haughey have arrived at Our Lady of Consolation Church in Donnycarney, where they will lie in repose until his State funeral tomorrow.
Hundreds of people gathered for the arrival of the procession led by Mr Haughey's widow, Maureen, and her four children.
The public will be allowed to file past the former Taoiseach's remains until 4pm, with mourners being asked to refrain from taking photographs.
Five hundred dignitaries have been invited to the removal and tomorrow’s funeral Mass, with the remaining 1,500 seats reserved for members of the public.
Special television screens will also be erected outside in anticipation of large crowds of mourners.
Mr Haughey is due to be buried in Sutton after a full State funeral led by the Taoiseach and the President.
