Gardaí investigate two hit and runs, five injured
Gardaí are appealing for information on two separate hit and run incidents, which resulted in a total of five pedestrians being injured overnight.
Four pedestrians were injured when they were knocked down in Togher, in Cork.
Two men are in a serious condition after they and two women were hit by a red car which failed to stop.
This incident occurred at 12.50am this morning at the junction of Togher Road and Westside Estate.
Meanwhile, gardaí in Navan are investigating after a woman received serious leg injuries when she was run over at Academy Street at 2.15am.
Gardaí believe the vehicle involved may be a silver Rover.
