Taoiseach to meet with Blair for discussions

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has confirmed that he hopes to hold talks with Tony Blair shortly to assess the latest developments in the North.

His comments come after the parties in the North failed for a third day running to elect a chairperson to a committee that would look at how to restore the Stormont Assembly before the November 24 deadline.
