Investigation launched into industrial accident near Longford Town

The Health and Safety Authority today launched an investigation into an industrial accident on the outskirts of Longford town.

A man died when he fell from a ladder yesterday afternoon while carrying out work on the site of a new car showroom.

He was taken to Mullingar General Hospital, where he later died.
