Donegal consultants refuse to treat new breast patients

Consultants in Letterkenny are refusing to treat breast cancer patients in protest at the Health Service Executive's refusal to appoint a permanent breast surgeon at the hospital in the Co Donegal town.

The doctors say they will continue to treat women referred before today, but will not deal with new patients as part of their action.
