Roche promises regulations for ‘puppy farms’

Minister for the Environment Dick Roche has promised to regulate the dog-breeding industry in response to concerns about so-called ‘puppy farms’.

The move has been recommended by a working group set up to examine the situation follow raids on a number of premises where dogs were being bred in appalling conditions.
