Fresh plea issued over brutal Ringsend murder
Gardaí investigating the murder of a man as he sat in a car in the Ringsend area of Dublin two years ago today, renewed their appeal for information.
On May 31, 2004, James Kavanagh from Bridge Street, Ringsend was sitting in the passenger seat of a dark coloured car near to the Irishtown House Pub when he was approached by a man.
After a brief conversation Mr Kavanagh was stabbed in the neck and died later from his injuries.
A Garda spokesman said: “The investigation team are now appealing for any person who may have any information relating to this killing to come forward now, no matter how trivial they feel the information may be.”
Mr Kavanagh was sitting in a dark-coloured Nissan Maxima at around 11pm on May 31, 2004.
