The Sinn Féin Mayor of Monaghan today said he hoped to visit Canada before his term in office ends, despite being refused entry to the country.

The Sinn Féin Mayor of Monaghan today said he hoped to visit Canada before his term in office ends, despite being refused entry to the country.

Pat Treanor, who was on his way back to Ireland this afternoon, said he would contact the Canadian Embassy on his return and he was confident the issue could be resolved.
