Victims to mount protest at Child Abuse Commission
Victims of child abuse are due to mount a protest this morning outside the commission inquiring into their experiences.
The protest has been arranged by the Survivors of Child Abuse group as a result of comments made during a sitting of the inquiry yesterday.
Representatives from the Christian Brothers accused some of the victims of making complaints for their own financial gain and conspiring with lawyers to fabricate evidence of abuse.
SOCA spokesman John Kelly said victims were being denied an opportunity to challenge the accusation before the Child Abuse Commission.
