Forty per cent of Irish adults never use sunscreen, according to a survey conducted by the Irish Cancer Society.

The organisation said today that men were worse offenders than women, with three quarters saying they do not protect their skin from the sun.

The survey results are being released to coincide with the Cancer Society's annual awareness campaign about the link between sun and skin cancer.
