Mother's plight highlights specialist surgeon shortage

A mother-of-three in need of a life-saving double organ transplant has been told her operation is on hold.

Marion Blair, who has been waiting four years for a kidney and pancreas transplant, has been suspended from Beaumont Hospital’s waiting list as her surgeon is on leave.
