Dublin Airport issues advice to travellers
More than 310,000 passengers are expected to travel through Dublin Airport during the May Bank Holiday – one of the busiest weekends of the year.
More than 2,000 flights are due to arrive and depart, including 125 charter flights to destinations such as mainland Spain, the Canary Islands and Turkey.
A spokeswoman for the airport asked passengers to check in at least 90 minutes before their flight time, but warned them not to arrive three or more hours before as check-in desks will not be open that far in advance.
“Passengers should proceed immediately to the Passenger Security Screening area on completion of check-in,” she said.
“Once again, passengers are reminded to remove all sharp objects from hand luggage. These objects should be packed into checked-in luggage. In addition, all laptop computers must be removed from their outer casing for security screening.
“Dublin Airport will have customer care teams on duty to assist passengers through the terminal building this Bank Holiday weekend.”
