Man arrested following car chase

A major garda search continues in county Roscommon this evening, following an attempted robbery at a house earlier today.

One man in his 20s has been arrested in Lanesboro. Gardaí in Longford, Roscommon and Carrick-on-Shannon in Leitrim are continuing the search for the second man.
