Fears for Motorola jobs in Cork
There are fears for up to 150 jobs at the Motorola plant in Cork today as a result of a restructuring plan being put in place by the company.
A spokesman confirmed last night that the company was in discussions with some of its staff at the Douglas factory about "future business requirements".
The plant was established in 1981 and employs 450 people.
A spokesperson for the Department of Employment said last night that the IDA was working closely with Motorola and any assistance the Government could provide would be forthcoming.
