Staff at disability centre agree to Labour Court hearing

A two-week dispute at a centre providing intellectual disability services in Limerick came to an end this afternoon.

A two-week dispute at a centre providing intellectual disability services in Limerick came to an end this afternoon.

Fourteen care workers at the Brothers of Charity centre have agreed to return to work from tomorrow.

Their decision follows an agreement to refer the issue of client/staff ratio to a full Labour Court hearing.

SIPTU, which represents staff at the centre, has also agreed to attend a meeting of the Labour Relations Commission tomorrow to ratify the arrangement.
