All Govt policies ‘should include anti-poverty measures’

The Combat Poverty Agency (CPA) is calling on the Government to ensure that all of its future policies include measures to eradicate poverty.

The call is being made ahead of a conference on social inclusion being hosted by the agency in Dublin today.

The CPA says the only way people can escape the poverty trap is if all policies in areas like health, education and justice include measures to address disadvantage.
