Four quizzed over cash-in-transit robberies

Four men were being questioned in connection with cash-in-transit robberies tonight after gardaí seized vehicles and a firearm.

Detectives confirmed four men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were arrested for unauthorised possession of firearms at Market Green, Balbriggan in Dublin just after 3pm.

Gardaí investigating cash-in-transit robberies seized three vehicles and a firearm as part of the operation.

The men are being detained at Balbriggan, Santry and Drogheda garda stations under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act.
