Trade unions in plea over Iraq

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions today called on the United States-led coalition in Iraq to commit to withdrawing troops from the war torn country.

Three years after the invasion and 180,000 deaths later, ICTU general secretary David Begg warned the situation had yet to improve, and that civil war was a real danger.
