Two injured in Dublin shooting

There has been another shooting overnight in north Dublin.

It is understood two men were shot near Ashington Heath off the Navan Road at around 10.15pm last night.

Both victims are being treated at the Mater hospital for minor injuries. It is the third gun attack in the area in two days.

On Friday, a man in his 20s was shot dead in near Blackhorse Avenue.

Gardaí launched a murder investigation after his body was found in a lane on Friday afternoon.

And yesterday morning, another man in his 20s was seriously injured after he was shot in the chest in Finglas. Gardaí are searching for a lone gunman in relation to the incident.

They are refusing to make any connection between the three gun attacks.
