Dr Denis Brennan appointed as new Bishop of Ferns
Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Dr Denis Brennan as the new Bishop of Ferns.
The 60-year-old is currently parish priest in Taghmon and also the Ferns diocesan delegate for child protection.
Dr Brennan replaces Bishop Eamon Walsh, who has been acting head of the diocese since the departure of Brendan Comiskey.
