Taoiseach condemns violence at Ulster rally
The Taoiseach is condemning today's violence in Dublin city centre as disgraceful.
Bertie Ahern says there is no excuse for it and that it the essence of Irish democracy and republicanism that people are allowed express their views freely and in a peaceful manner.
Mr Ahern says people who wantonly attack gardaí and property have no respect for their fellow citizens.
He is also praising the Gardaí for their handling of the disturbances.
The Taoiseach expressed appreciation for the bravery of the Gardaí in dealing with a very tense situation and sympathy for those who have been injured doing their duty.
