SF accuses British army of spying on Armagh GAA club
Sinn Féin has accused the British army of spying on the local GAA club in Dromintee, Co Armagh.
The party has claimed to have uncovered a document showing that the club is being targeted by a spy camera located on a British watchtower on a mountain in south Armagh.
It claimed other cameras were also trained on the homes of a number of club members who live in the area.
Local Sinn Féin MP Conor Murphy is demanding to know how long the spying has been going on.
"The cameras have been on top of the mountain for years now, so there is a sense of outrage in the local community about this," he said.
"People have long been asking questions as to why, so long into the peace process, the British army continues to spy on communities in south Armagh."
