SF Ard Fheis votes to keep options open on policing
The Sinn Féin Ard Fheis has voted decisively to give its leadership support in attempting to negotiate what it calls a "new beginning" to policing.
The party's youth wing and other delegates had argued that Sinn Féin should never endorse policing in the Northern context.
But the majority said the party should keep its options open to endorse policing once power has been transferred from London to a power-sharing executive in Belfast.
