The Sinn Féin leadership is to vote against a motion that would prevent the party going into coalition with either Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael.

The Sinn Féin Ard Fheis has voted decisively to give its leadership support in attempting to negotiate what it calls a "new beginning" to policing.

The Árd Fheis marking the party’s 100th anniversary will be a more sombre occasion for Sinn Féin than might otherwise be expected in a celebratory year.
