Stena withdraws Dun Laoghaire-Holyhead catamaran service
The Stena Line passenger ferry company has confirmed that their catamaran service from Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead has been withdrawn.
The decision was taken following a minor incident earlier in the week when the high-speed ship hit an object beneath the water's surface.
The accident occurred as it approached Holyhead port with 300 passengers on board.
Officials say no one was injured but there was some damage to the boat.
A Department of the Marine spokesperson has said they will not be investigating the matter because the ship is registered in the UK.
