Report recommends creation of hospital league tables

A report published today by the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee shows that 4.6 million people were treated by the health service in 2004.

The report is recommending the creation of a system that would measure the outcomes of hospital visits. This could lead to the creation of league tables in the sector if implemented.
