Cross-border scheme to help police handle minority communities

Up to 1,200 police officers from both sides of the border are joining forces in a course aimed at helping them address the needs of minority communities.

The cross-border training programme, believed to be the first of its kind in Europe, will involve officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland and An Garda Siochana.
